Bill Clark's Raptor ID Class - 2022

Type: videos
Price: $100.00

Description

Bill Clark, internationally known raptor expert and Texas resident, guides you through the intricacies of identifying hawks, eagles, falcons and kites. Be sure to download the class notes as well so you can follow along with Bill.

In the first of three videos Bill reviews the general points of raptor ID, and then compares the Sharp-shinned Hawk to the Cooper's Hawk, notoriously difficult to separate.  The second video explores difficult identification issues for buteos and eagles.  The last video touches on unusual plumages, kites, rare raptors, and South Texas falcons.  Bill concludes with instruction on documenting unusual species and an ID summary.

Bill has created a comprehensive instructional packet to accompany his raptor workshop video. The packet is available with the purchase of the video by sending a request to info@texasbirds.org with the subject Raptor Workshop Packet.

This three-session class was originally presented via Zoom in April 2022 as a fund-raiser for TOS.  We are grateful to Bill for sharing his expertise, and for helping to support our organization.
